This is a full time, in-person position that requires experience in the field.
We will train on the specifics, but a basic understanding of bookkeeping/accounting is required (minimum of 2 years).
Hours:
M - F 8:
30am to 5pm (30 minute unpaid lunch and two 10 minute paid breaks) Job Duties Perform administrative and clerical assignments related to accounting and human resource functions Record customer payments and prepare daily bank deposit Manage all data entry, reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements Match up invoices with supporting documents, and enter in to our system for payment Maintain all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables according to company practices Research issues related to invoice discrepancies Open mail, and distribute Filing Contact customers for payment when past due.
Maintain detailed notes in our software system, and follow up as needed.
Maintain petty cash Collect month end reports that are provided to our outside accounting firm, who prepares our monthly financial statements Maintain paper files in an orderly fashion, and archive when needed Prepare Sales Associate and outside Manufacturer Representative monthly commissions Reimburse employees for company expenses Prepare bi-weekly report for our payroll service utilizing our electronic time clock software Compile payroll data such as garnishments, insurance, vacation time, and 401(k) deductions Provide new hire information to our payroll service and 401(k) administrator Record and maintain employee time off.
This includes vacation, personal, unexcused, sick, and bereavement.
Maintain employee files making sure that all documents are up to date Work with our health insurance provider enrolling employees, or making changes Assist in investigating workplace accidents and correspond with insurance carrier Work with our retirement plan provider and 401(k) administrator Maintain current information for health insurance and 401(k), such as enrollment forms, description of benefits, information packs, etc.
Support office staff as needed with miscellaneous clerical functions Fill in for our receptionist (also prepares invoices and shipping papers) when needed Requirements Minimum 2
years of AR / AP experience Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles Excellent data entry skills Dependable and on time is a must Energetic Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills Must have reliable transportation Professional appearance with a friendly and positive attitude Able to represent Star Label Products in a professional manner Excellent communication and phone skills Able to multi-task High level of detail oriented accuracy Must be able to prioritize work load Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Outlook, and online banking applications Quick learner who is able to work both independently and in a team environment Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
